San Servolo, Venice, Italy
June 2008
Presentations By: John Parish and Shelley Gorenc

During this conference, John Parish and Shelley Gorenc shared their expertise on a variety of topics within the field of fluvial geomorphology. In three separate presentations, John discussed the monitoring of stream restoration projects, the basin scale assessment in relation to restoration sites, and concrete channel restoration, with Fourteen Mile Creek as his Canadian case study. Shelley’s presentation involved her experience with river restoration and her understanding of ecohydrology. Towards the finale of conference presentations, both John and Shelley decided to engage in two workshops “How much sediment is needed for a well functioning river system?” and the “Monitoring Workshop Outline for ECRR”.
