Mr. Jenkins has been responsible for leading and coordinating field investigations on numerous watercourses throughout Atlantic Canada and the Eastern United States since 1997. Ron has implemented watercourse monitoring studies, conducted surveying, data collection, review and analysis of historical information (including air photography and topographical mapping), data analysis, reporting and designs for watercourse restoration features. He is trained and certified in electro-fishing and has conducted many aquatic (benthic and fish) population assessment projects. Ron has extensive experience in on-site supervision and guidance in the construction of natural channel designs and habitat restoration works. He is responsible for developing erosion and sediment control plans for projects.
Mr. Jenkins has experience in establishing on-site laboratories for conducting water quality analysis, particularly focused on sediment and turbidity. He is experienced in having these labs certified and accredited by the CALA (Canadian Association for Laboratory Accreditation). Ron conducts many training session to NGO, government and private participants in practices and techniques of proper sampling and data collection. This includes geomorphic data collection, water sampling (ground and surface), habitat assessment, riparian zone assessment, substrate measurements, and watercourse surveying.
Ron is the Regional Manager for the Atlantic Provinces.
